How to use and maintain electric soldering iron

1. Do not shake off the tin by tapping, so as not to affect the life of the heating element.

2. When replacing the tip of the soldering iron, insert it into the bottom of the heater hole to prevent air burning.

3. When the iron tip is oxidized, use a fiber sponge to clean it, do not use a knife.

4. After soldering, please wipe the tip of the soldering iron clean and dip it in tin to prevent oxidation.

5. If you only clean the surface of the soldering iron tip and do not touch it with tin immediately, when the surface of the soldering iron tip oxidizes and turns black, it will never touch the tin. This concept requires special attention. 6. After the electric welding work is completed, pull out the electric plug, so that the temperature of the electric soldering iron slowly drops and cools down naturally. 7. When using flux, pay special attention to the following:

When there is oxide on the soldering iron tip, do not directly put the soldering iron tip into the flux for cleaning, because: (A) The white acid gas generated after the flux is heated will destroy the inside of the heat pipe, thus reducing the life. (B) The flux is an acidic liquid, which will corrode the alloy layer on the surface of the soldering iron tip and reduce its life. Correct usage:

(A) Prepare a soaked sponge or cotton cloth and wipe the tip of the soldering iron with black oxide on it to clean it. (B) Clean the flux on the surface of the sponge or cotton cloth for next use.
